Claims / Dispute Resolution / Commercial Manager – £60k - £80k

Synopsis: This consultancy are currently looking to recruit a Claims Consultant who will need to have a well rounded commercial management and Quantity Surveying background who is looking to progress in Claims 

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 + Car Allowance + benefits

 

 

About the Claims Consultant Company:

This Construction Consultancy provides commercial management and dispute resolution services to major construction companies, specialist sub-contractors, and client organisations throughout the UK and internationally.

 

 

About the Claims Consultant Opportunity:

They are currently looking to recruit a Claims Consultant who will need to have a well rounded commercial management / Quantity Surveying background who ideally has an additional qualification in Construction Law or Construction Arbitration (or another related course).  You will need to already working in claims or have a desire to start developing into a claims role.  You will need to be astute, have a comprehensive knowledge of commercial management / Quantity Surveying, and be able or the potential to be client facing and develop new and existing clients.   This role has excellent career progression.  The current Director is currently looking for his number two, and someone who could take over and lead the London office within a couple of years.  They are therefore after someone with potential leadership skills and business development skills as well as some claims experience or a legal qualification

 

 

As the Commercial / Claims Manager you will need the ability to:

-Review and analysis of tender and contract documentation

-Provide full commercial management of construction project through to the agreement of the final account

-Aid in preparation of dispute referral, response and reply documents

-Demonstrate a working knowledge of commercial procedures, the principles of contract law

-Prepare, asses and interrogate construction costs

-Interpret and operate both standard form and bespoke contract procedures and mechanisms

-Demonstrate a working knowledge of dispute resolution procedures, Adjudication in particular

 

 

Requirements for the Claims Consultant:

-Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors

-1 plus years upwards claims experience is ideal

-Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related subject and ideally you will possess a second Degree in a relevant subject (Masters, LLM)

 

 

Salary & Benefits for the Claims Consultant:

£60,000 - £80,000 + Car Allowance + benefits
